Who We Are
You've changed. Your dreams have changed. Only the politics is still stuck.
Your children's ambitions have changed. Your cities, villages, towns and families are asking for something more. We are the people who stopped asking and started building.
How this party started
This party was started by an ordinary citizen, not a "leader." He built a company here in India and poured everything into it, only to find the real wall was politics. The same blockage hits crores of people every day.
That failure made one truth clear: it wasn't one company's failure but that of thousands of Indian founders. The real wall is political, where we don't choose the best, we choose the least bad. So the call was made: not another startup, a party.
Bharat Banao began on 9 June 2026. These are still the early days: members, issues and funding all show in real time on the live dashboard. We're not setting a member-count 'target': the counter is open, and runs until the first Vikas Contract is signed. The architecture is fully built: Vikas Contract, accountability cycle, candidate selection, funding rules, Naagrik Sabha protocol. What's needed now is people.
This is the citizen's dignity
Politics has to build a relationship with these voices. These voices are the country's real conscience.
"I am not just a vote bank."
"I am not a leader's flunky. I am my area's servant."
"I don't want hatred. I want opportunity."
"I want a good school for my child."
"I don't want trouble from the system. I want support."
"I will vote, and I will hold them to account."
What we're trying to build
Our ideology
Participatory Developmental Democracy
A politics of participation, development and accountability.
Not left, not right, not socialist, not capitalist, not anti-anyone.
We are: for progress, for development, for local power, for the Constitution.
What binds us, and the lines we will never cross
We chain ourselves to these
None of this is easy. That's the point. We're writing it down now, when breaking it would be easiest.
- Hold at least one Naagrik Sabha per month in every active local unit, minutes public. Every 15 days during elections or high-priority campaigns.
- Choose every candidate by citizens' vote.
- Every representative publishes a 4-milestone accountability cycle: First 100-Day Action Report, 6-Month Naagrik Review, Annual Vikas Report Card, 5-Year Final Vikas Hisaab.
- Funding disclosure and smaller progress updates every 90 days.
- Track every promise on a public dashboard.
- Make volunteer training compulsory: unpaid, but certified.
We will not. Ever.
These are the lines we won't cross even once we hold power.
- We will not pay for a ticket, and we will not take payment for one. Ever.
- We will not stay silent after the election. Ever.
- We will not take a rupee from any foreign or anonymous donor, and every donor is public.
- We will not turn anyone's identity into a vote bank.
- We will not build a "high-command". The decision stays in the ward.
Where you fit in
The truth is, this page is incomplete, because "we" doesn't include you yet. The simplest, most powerful thing: become a member. Volunteer and co-founder paths open from there.
